Destination Moon Exhibit

The Heinz History Center has an award-winning permanent collection that chronicles Pittsburgh's past. But in order to generate revenue and attendance, they rely on short-run exhibits from other Smithsonian affiliates to stay relevant in a competitive cultural landscape. The creative goal was to capture the excitement of each unique exhibit by making it relevant so people have a new reason to visit. This exhibit in particular tells the incredible story of Apollo 11. Leveraging historical imagery and creative media marketing, this exhibit became one of the most visited exhibits in Heinz History Center history.
